These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Pray for Whittier website and participation in the Pray for Whittier text messaging program.

Pray for Whittier is a standalone community prayer ministry. It is not represented through these Terms as a legally registered nonprofit organization.

1. Pray for Whittier

Pray for Whittier exists to provide prayer, encouragement, and opportunities for individuals in the community to connect with prayer and free Bible studies.

Our SMS program is non-commercial. We do not use the program to sell products or services or to solicit donations.

2. SMS Program Description

Individuals who voluntarily opt in may receive recurring text messages from Pray for Whittier.

Messages may include:

People may also text Pray for Whittier directly with prayer requests or other prayer-related messages.

Some inbound messages may receive an automated acknowledgment before a Pray for Whittier team member follows up personally.

3. How to Opt In

You may opt in through the Pray for Whittier web form by providing your mobile phone number and actively checking the SMS consent checkbox.

The SMS consent checkbox is optional and is not pre-selected.

By checking the SMS consent checkbox and submitting the form, you authorize Pray for Whittier to send recurring text messages to the mobile number you provided.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

4. Message Frequency

You may receive a few messages per month.

Frequency may vary depending on your interaction with Pray for Whittier, including whether you submit a prayer request, request prayer by phone, respond to a Bible study invitation, or otherwise communicate with our team.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges may apply to messages sent to or received from Pray for Whittier.

6. Opting Out

Reply STOP to opt out.

You may unsubscribe from recurring Pray for Whittier text messages at any time by replying STOP.

After you opt out, you may receive a final confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.

You will not receive additional recurring messages unless you opt in again.

8. Bible Study Responses

From time to time, Pray for Whittier may invite opted-in recipients to attend a free Bible study.

If a message asks you to reply STUDY, your response may trigger an automated acknowledgment followed by contact from a Pray for Whittier team member with additional information.

Bible studies promoted through this messaging program are free.

9. Prayer Follow-Up

If you submit a prayer request or respond that you would like prayer by phone, your response may trigger an automated acknowledgment.

A Pray for Whittier team member may then follow up personally by text or, where requested, regarding prayer by phone.

10. Message Delivery

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Delivery of text messages depends on your wireless carrier, device, network availability, and other factors outside Pray for Whittier’s control. Message delivery is not guaranteed.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

12. Changes to the Program or These Terms

Pray for Whittier may modify or discontinue its website or messaging program at any time.
